TVNZ wants to get to know our viewers and Kiwis in general better, so we created ‘The Green Room’. It’s an online community where we give you the chance to tell us what you think of television, video content and what’s happening in NZ today. It’s a place to have your say and help shape the future of TV, streaming and Video on Demand. By joining our community, you’ll join other like-minded people to share your views. Every survey you complete gives you the chance to win prizes.

The submission of the online registration survey constitutes the member’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. TVNZ reserves the right to vary the specifications, rates, rewards, rules and conditions of any element of the TVNZ’s Green Room at any time without notice. TVNZ reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions by providing 30 days’ notice on the www.tvnzgreenroom.co.nz website.
TVNZ reserves the right to terminate the membership of individuals who violate the following conditions of membership:
By participating in prize draws, you agree to have your name published via email in the case that you are a winner. Only first names and town/city of residence would be published.
To be eligible for the prize draws you must have participated in the community forums and completing surveys. The draw will take place at Yabble (on behalf of TVNZ) at the end of each survey.
Employees or immediate family members or flatmates of employees of Yabble, TVNZ and their agencies will not be eligible for the prize draw. Winners will be notified, and prizes will be awarded in the form of a prezzy card or voucher (cash or cheque payments are not possible). All prizes must be claimed within 2 months of original notification being sent by Yabble. In the event that any prizes remain unclaimed after that time, the prize will be forfeited. We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our panel website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about our websites use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. The Green Room is an online community designed to ensure viewers are involved in the future of TVNZ. The survey elements of the community are managed on TVNZ’s behalf by Yabble . Once you register for participation, you’ll be taken to a short profiling survey so we can get to know you. By registering your interest to join The Green Room, you are consenting to receiving regular emails about what’s happening in the community. These emails will invite you to participate in online surveys and in some instances may send you directly to surveys. You will also receive quarterly updates.
You can leave The Green Room at any time by sending an email to thegreenroom@yabblezone.net and inserting the words “Request Removal” in the subject line, or by following the link to unsubscribe that will be present in every email sent to you as a member of The Green Room community. If you unsubscribe, we take reasonable steps to de-identify personal information you have previously provided to us.
We combine the information provided in survey responses to produce “aggregated survey results”, and these results do not identify any individual, but will be used in market.
Unless TVNZ/Yabble is required by law to act otherwise (e.g. under a court order), we will only disclose the personal information of panel members as follows:
You have rights to seek access to personal information that we hold about you (although note that this will be limited to information that you provide us).
